BOOK COVER DESIGN PROCESS AND PRICING:

1. I would prefer a Word file or synopsis of the book to read and then
a phone or e-mail communication to determine the approach for the
cover.
2. Text for the front and back furnished by the author/publisher.
An author photo can be emailed.
3. I will send you two usually three solutions from which you can
choose your favorite. Reasonable tweaking is part of the process
no extra charge .

Book cover design rates:
1. If the author/publisher provides an image the fee is $650.00.
2.The fee for a completely original design created by Aulicino
Design, with or without royalty free images is $950.00. There is an
additional fee for the images. I use very reasonably priced stock
image web sites. Bar codes are $10.00. CreateSpace and Lightning
Source provide bar codes as part of their fee.

These fees include:
Front, back, and spine.
Web or any promotional jpegs.
This work for hire. The author/publisher owns the rights to the cover art.

INTERIOR BOOK DESIGN:
The fee for a standard book (no photos or charts) is $4.00 per page.
The fee for a book with photos or charts is $5.00 per page.
The fee to create charts is $100 per chart.
If the book requires a photo insert (separate pages from the text) the fee is $25 per page which includes scanning and retouching.

A Library of Congress Control number for your title is also required.
See www.loc.gov/publish/pcn

After you have published your book, be sure to send 2 copies to the Library of Congress.
